12 Years in Harlem
As we celebrate 12 years of God's faithfulness as a church family, we want to come together and serve our community.
On Sunday, September 27th, our church celebrates 12 years! During all three services, join us to worship with our mass choir and celebrate with treats and interactive elements in the Fellowship Hall. We also have the opportunity to partner with three different organizations. All organizations will be represented in the Fellowship Hall following each service, where you can learn more and sign up to serve.

MOTT HALL II
Mott Hall II is a school located in Harlem, New York City, which houses middle and high school students, grades 6th through 9th. For the past twelve years, Renaissance Church has gathered in this building, and we have enjoyed a beautiful partnership with Mott Hall II and the previous school, P.S. 76. We've supported various projects for students and faculty, and we've been grateful to hold our Sunday services and mid-week programming at the school.
This fall, we are collecting funds to go towards the shirts Mott Hall II utilizes for student trips and outings. To contribute, click below and select "Back to School Initiatives" from the drop-down menu. You can donate now through Anniversary Sunday. We're grateful to call Mott Hall II home, and to contribute to the thriving of its students and staff during the coming school year.

YOUNGLIVES
For over 25 years, YoungLives has been a part of Young Life’s global ministry and is dedicated to walking alongside teen moms. YoungLives Manhattan is committed to empowering young moms with the support, community, and resources they need to thrive in motherhood. As we continue to partner with YoungLives, there are two ways to get involved on Anniversary Sunday and beyond:
GIVE
YoungLives Greater NYC Coordinator and Renaissance Member, Adriene Perry, has put together an Amazon Wishlist with the essential items they need for the teen moms and children they serve. Our goal is to see this list totally fulfilled. Please consider purchasing items from the list and sharing it with others who might want to contribute as well. You can also stop by the Fellowship Hall on Anniversary Sunday to access the list and learn more about YoungLives.
SERVE
Join YoungLives on Saturday, December 19 for their Annual YoungLives Holiday Toy Store. The Toy Store is one of their largest events of the year, where teen moms and dads have an opportunity to shop for Christmas gifts for their children in a welcoming and festive environment. We would love to have 10–15 Renaissance Church volunteers serve. To sign up, visit the YoungLives table in the Fellowship Hall on Anniversary Sunday.

NMDP
Every 3-4 minutes, someone in the U.S. is diagnosed with a blood cancer. Many of those people may need a blood stem cell transplant (sometimes called a bone marrow transplant). A transplant can cure or treat 75-plus diseases, including blood cancers such as leukemia and other blood disorders, like sickle cell. Patients of color, and black patients specifically, are significantly less likely to find matches because of underrepresentation in the donor database.
NMDP (formerly known as Be The Match) will be at Renaissance on Anniversary Sunday to host a drive. This will give those eligible in our congregation the opportunity to join the stem cell donation registry. To join the registry, visit the NMDP table in Fellowship Hall on Anniversary Sunday to fill out a form and have a cheek swab done by NMDP representatives.
Please note: Donors must be ages 18-35.
