JOB DESCRIPTION
Renaissance Church seeks a dedicated and passionate individual to join our ministry team as a full-time Children's Ministry Coordinator. The Renaissance Kids (R-Kids) team values flexibility, a collaborative spirit, fun, and the contributions of all team members for a Gospel-centered children’s ministry. As the Children's Ministry Coordinator, you will report to our Children’s Ministry Director, focusing on maintaining a consistent ministry environment for 100+ children weekly, ages 6 weeks to Grade 5. You will provide practical and operational leadership to ensure Sunday programming is executed with consistency, excellence, and integrity.

SUNDAY OPERATIONS
- Oversee R-Kids Sunday operations, environment setup, equipment, and logistics
- Communicate ‘need to know’ details to the Transformation and Restoration Crew members, R-Kids leaders/volunteers, and Renaissance staff
- Troubleshoot issues that arise on Sunday mornings, optimizing for volunteer and family experience
- Oversee the purchases, management, and distribution of R-Kids supplies
- Identify improvement opportunities to enhance the volunteer and family experience as well as our overall efficiency
- Participate in leading programming, provide volunteer role coverage, and work directly with children when necessary
VOLUNTEER COORDINATION
- Schedule Management – Maintain 120+ person volunteer roster and database to date
- Serve as the main point of contact for any volunteer changes or cancellations
- New Volunteer Onboarding – Ensure all administrative tasks and communication are completed
- Following up with new volunteers after their first Sunday
- An eagerness to express gratitude and appreciation to volunteers – both written and verbal
OFFICE ADMINISTRATION
- Various reporting
- Various volunteer and parent communications
- Sending birthday postcards to kids and volunteers
- Contributing to the improvement of Operations & the volunteer experience with ideas, input & action
- Partner with the Curriculum Coordinator – monthly printing and curriculum organization
- Manage registrations and participant communication for R-Kids events (i.e., Child Dedication, Rooted Conversations class, Sprinkle Class, etc.)
- Involvement with event planning and logistics (i.e., VBS, Volunteer training events, etc.)
- Other tasks as deemed important and necessary by the Children’s Ministry Director
REQUIREMENTS
- This is a hybrid role with the ability to work on location on Sundays and Mondays
- Sundays are required from 7:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on approximately 48 Sundays throughout the year
- Demonstrated ability to balance programming and logistical planning
- Navigates ambiguity
- The ability to meet deadlines while working independently and within a team
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop productive working relationships with teams
- Strong organizational and time management skills with a methodical-oriented mindset
- Ability to introduce innovative ideas, implement them, and ensure they are maintained
- Possess written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of technology-based productivity tools, mainly Google Applications, and a commitment to learn, consistently work in, and incorporate into workflow technology-based programs utilized by Renaissance Church (Slack, CCB, Monday.com)
- 1-2 years of experience preferred in children’s ministry/programming, volunteer management, and/or experience leading teams or related Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree

SALARY RANGE
The estimated salary range for this position is $55,000-60,000. Please note that the actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
