JOB DESCRIPTION

Renaissance Church is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, self-starter to manage related to our Sunday services and assist with general organizational operations. This includes the commitment to working from 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM on approximately 48 Sundays throughout the year. This individual will be the primary contact for all volunteer and facility needs. This position is full-time with 8 of those hours on Sundays. Throughout the week, hours are flexible and hybrid, with 1-2 days required in the office in Harlem. This position reports to the Director of Operations.

Renaissance Church is a decade old non-denominational community of Christians in Harlem, NY. Renaissance has grown into a diverse community and exists to connect people to Jesus Christ and to each other.

SUNDAY OPERATIONS

  • Display a good work ethic within a team dynamic and assume leadership as needs arise
  • Arrive at 7:00 AM to welcome and assign tasks to set-up volunteers, manage volunteers for both the first and second service, and ensure that volunteers complete all clean-up tasks in order to leave PS76 in good condition to welcome students on Mondays.
  • Oversee the purchases and management of Sunday service facilities supplies
  • Assist in basic financial processing (sorting, counting and deposit) to ensure offering are accurate

VOLUNTEER COORDINATION

  • Lead and collaborate with volunteer Crew leaders to recruit and onboard new volunteers and integrate them into the volunteer management system
    Management of volunteer Crew leadership, scheduling, and oversee team rosters weekly
  • Provide basic training and support to staff and volunteers on CRM software, Community Church Builder (CCB)
  • Serve as the main point of contact for any volunteer Crew needs, volunteer changes or cancellations
  • Develop and improve volunteer management processes to enhance overall volunteer experience

OFFICE ADMINISTRATION

  • Check office mail; Field and direct inquiries (phone & email)
  • Schedule and coordinate the use of church facilities ensuring school permit submissions for events, meetings, and activities
  • Assist in managing relationships with partnership organizations as needed
  • Contribute to creating and maintaining a positive relationship with P.S. 76
  • Deposit offering and manage CCB batches
  • Assists in basic financial processing including paying invoices, financial reconciliations and reimbursements
  • Data entry into CCB and process end of the year giving statements
  • Support and assist with the execution of annual events for both church attendees and Harlem community members

REQUIREMENTS

  • An ability to work on-location Sunday, Monday and Wednesday with a remote option of Tuesday and Thursday. Sundays are required from 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field
  • 2 or more years of previous experience in administrative or operational support roles
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a process-oriented mindset
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of technology-based productivity tools, mainly Google Applications, Slack (Monday.com preferred)
  • Experience using Customer Relationship Management systems like Community Church Builder (preferred)
  • Ability to introduce innovative ideas, implement them and make sure they are maintained
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and be able to work both independently and within team
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop productive working relationships with teams
  • Demonstrated ability to build deep and meaningful relationships, to influence others to action, and to effectively handle multiple situations simultaneously
  • Meticulous attention to detail and highest-quality execution in all situations
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills

SALARY RANGE

The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000. Please note that the actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience and education.
