JOB DESCRIPTION
Renaissance Church is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our ministry team as a full time Associate Pastor at Renaissance Church in Harlem, NY. The ideal candidate will report to our Senior Pastor assisting in leading and shepherding the congregation, providing spiritual guidance, supporting various ministries within the church community, as well as working closely with our operations team.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Shepherd new church attendees and equip leaders to care for newcomers
- Provide pastoral care and support to individuals and families within the congregation
- Provide pastoral care and support to staff members through regular check-ins and oversight
- Foster a sense of community within the church by connecting with members, newcomers, and visitors
- Engage in outreach activities to connect with the broader community of Harlem through our designated partnerships
- Encourage community members through the process of discipleship, helping them to move from attendees to spiritually growing and serving members of the church
- Identify and nurture emerging leaders within the congregation
- Provide mentorship and guidance to volunteers and ministry leaders
- Consistently support Sunday Worship logistics and other events while training leaders to serve in the same way
- Collaborate with ministry leaders to coordinate and oversee various church programs and initiatives
- Support the planning and execution of events, workshops, and outreach activities
- Technology familiarity (Slack, CCB) Ability to introduce innovative ideas, implement them and make sure they are maintained
- Assist Senior Pastor and Communications Director with the coordination and growth of and Community Groups, DNA Groups and Growth Groups
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in theology, ministry, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- 2+ years of experience as an ordained minister
- Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate ministry programs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop productive working relationships with teams
- Ability to introduce innovative ideas, implement them, and make sure they are maintained
- Excellent counseling and mentoring abilities
- Highly proficient at project planning and oversight
- Experience using Customer Relationship Management systems like Community Church Builder (preferred)
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of technology-based productivity tools, mainly Google Applications, Slack (Monday.com preferred)
- An ability to work on location Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays (Remote option Tuesdays and Thursdays)

SALARY RANGE
The estimated salary range for this position is $90,000 to $120,000. Please note that the actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
